Great park beautiful views and tracks. Unfortunately ive seen the rangers killing bees with a product called coopex . They were applying it in powder form in a funnel attached to a hose attached to a pole and blowing it on. They had no signage to say chemicals in use and when i talked to them they seemed very unproffesional and even told me the chemical they were using .

I love Para Wirra. This is due to really nice views on the Devil's nose walk, the lake, the creek, the tracks and the historical links to the gold rush. So much to see. It is worth downloading the Para Wirra park guide to understand the park. When you are there, you might see wild emus and wallabies. The little flowering plants are another feature.

Good amenities. Area by lake is overused. Just means we need more places like this.

This park has so many personalities, cliff faces, rivers, lakes, parks, ovals, play equipment, nature play. Something for everyone. Do yourself a favour and get a year pass for $60. You'll want to keep coming back
